Thanksgiving Planning

17 November 2012

Happy Saturday. With Thanksgiving and other holidays ahead, it’s time to polish the silver, press the linen and start on the grocery list.  Have you started? Living in Sweden, nothing will be closed for this non-Swedish holiday: good planning and good friends are crucial!

Do you have a dish that makes Thanksgiving for you? My favorites are the traditional dishes: the turkey, the mashed potatoes and the pie. There’s nothings like my mother’s traditional Apple Pies when we’re lucky enough to be in the US and celebrating with my family.  Living abroad, Pumpkin Cheesecake has become my favorite pumpkin pie after my friend ,master baker, Heather, introduced this a few years ago. My husband’s crowd pleasing, tarte tatin, is irresistible, as well.

Weekend wishes. I’ll see you back here next week!
