Happy Mother’s Day if you are celebrating it in your corner of the world.
My kids celebrate me on the Swedish date, May 26th; but, I’m thinking of you — and my family abroad.
To Moms, daughters, sisters and friends, “you’ve got this.”
I’ve been thinking a lot about the everyday beauty of parenting — fundamental and foundational small, passing moments — as I’ve used sprigs of heather from my front lawn to make this mother moment. The process behind choosing one sprig or another flower; carefully looking for just the right tones —- shaking, scattering flowers and moving them around, petal by petal — to find “just the right piece. ” This made me think of parenting and of being a Mother. I’m thinking of you: doing your best with what you have in your own hands to raise kids creatively every day in you own unique and beautiful ways. You’ve got this, Moms.
If there’s one thing I know about parenting, it’s that there are no instructions; just raw ingredients for each of us to combine these “petals + stems” creatively.
Wishing you the best today.

- 20+ Nature Projects to make with kids | I had a period of time where I worked painting portraits professionally but, I started creating these floral portraits with my kids. We’d collect and gather and just be creativity together — and sometimes, I just wanted to make them laugh. I think nature crafts are really fun because they usually mean side-by-side time with kids outdoors that then leads to connection through creativity. | HERE
